SYSMIC Workshop 2016

Programme Registration closed

The problem of biology is not to stand aghast at the complexity, but to conquer it.

Provided by SysMIC Consortium sponsored by BBSRC.

Workshop  Topic: Biological Rhythms

The SysMIC team invites you to join our 2016 Training Workshop on computational modelling for bio-research.

The subject of this year's workshop is Biological Rhythms. We picked this topic to allow you to train in a range of tools and concepts including mathematics, computation and engineering and gain a better understanding of the underlying biology. These are key skills for bio-research in the 21st century, and through this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn new things, share your knowledge and insights, interact with like-minded researchers and enjoy the beautiful venue.

The workshop is based on SysMIC modules 1 and 2, and includes:

  • Biological Networks,
  • Mechanistic Modelling,
  • MATLAB® Programming,
  • Numerical Simulations,
  • Biological Thinking with Computational Models.

Workshop Dates

  • 4 – 6 July 2016.
